Now that I’ve listed four things to consider about modesty, I’ll conclude this section with a few questions to ask ourselves 🙂
CLOTHING QUESTIONS:
- “Is my goal to draw attention to myself by wearing as little as possible, or seeking to honor God with my body?”
- “Am I trying to blend in with the secular world around me or trying to please God?”
- “Am I reflecting inward beauty and patience or desperation by flaunting my body?”
- “Am I safe to look at, or will a guy have trouble keeping his eyes off my body?”
These questions can be tough to answer honestly, and I’m not by any means saying we should go around wearing body suits or flour sacks. 😉 Modesty doesn’t imply “extreme” or “unstylish.” It simply makes an honorable statement.
